We left here at 6.00am and
got at the mikumi national park gate around 9.00.After
the registration at the gate we began our first day
trip around the park.Students as usual enjoyed the tour
and seemed happy to see the park and the animals.We
were lucky this time to see a lion as you can see on my
attachment.
We had a female guide who provided a good knowledge to
the students,they were really amazing,as john a form
three student told me this:
I was wrong to think that an elephant is a polite
animal and good friend to man,but today I have head
that an elephant is the greatest enermy of man.
There were lots of comments the students gave about the
trip.This time most of the students were interested on
knowing more about MY WORLD as they asked me many
questios about it.Imaculata a form 3 student said this:
I have alwas been asking myself as if lion can kill a
giraffe,I was very much interested to hear the story of
giraffe with a lion,the guide said it is not ease for a
lion to kill a giraffe because a giraffe is very strong
and powerful and its heart is high up on the neck.There
should be many lions to kill one giraffe.
Thanks for your support to the students.I appreciate
very much because It is me who really sees what happens
to students after such trips. They seem to change
mentally and make friendship. Some would like to go
back again and some try to imagine that one day they
work in one of the park and so on.We came back to dar
on the 21st evening and i hope it was succesful.
